For the second year in a row, the WB Chamber of Commerce Business Expo has been held outside in July, on the streets of West Branch. In the past, it has been held at Ogemaw Heights High School in April.
I'd really like to get your opinion in the comments below which you prefer. During the outdoors in the summer or indoors in the spring. I know that sometimes the weather didn't want to cooperate with everyone. In April, you can't be sure whether there will be dry roads, snow or freezing rain. I guess there are pros and cons to both.
Who is the winner of the Portraits by Linda DRAWING?
As you know, I had a drawing for a Free Family Session including a 16x20 portrait. This year, I decided to choose two winners. So, I put the names in a spinning wheel and came out with these winners: Shawn Witherspoon and Angie Smith
The afternoon started with an announcement on the radio by Hit's Fm in Tawas, MI. Heather Neuhaus, Executive Director of the WBCC, gave the announcement.
Just A Few of the Booths at the WB Chamber of Commerce Business Expo
I thought I would take a stroll around the streets and see who was here. This is by no means a complete list of who was there. I didn't get all the way around to everyone. But, here are some highlights of the different businesses that participated. For a complete list of everyone, you can call the West Branch Chamber of Commerce.
WQLB and WKJZ are a pair of radio stations known as "HITS FM". The station plays classic hits from the 1970s through the 1990s. It had broadcast a classic rock format until May 2007, when it switched to its current classic hits format.
Northland Area Credit Union was in front of my table, as well as WBRC across the street, just in front of Morse Clark Furniture.
Adapt
Sharon and her friend from Adapt Occupational Physical Therapy with their a cute little dog, their mascot. They have a pool for water therapy at the Adapt Facility. Offices are located in Hale, West Branch & Prescott. They are also hiring, if you are looking for a job. I was wishing I had brought my golden retriever, Wilma with me to sit at my booth. She loves people!

Ogemaw County Fair
Ogemaw County Fair is getting ready! August 15-20. This is the best fair in northern Michigan, as far as I am concerned. And the fairgrounds are beautiful with all the shaded areas. As always, they need any volunteers who would like to help out. In the past, I've enjoyed working in the antique village. I have also volunteered at the ticket booth in years past. Everyone is excited this year, because Noah Thompson from American Idol, as well as Shenandoah, will be giving a concert on Friday evening. See you there!

My husband, Roman, helped me out with my booth, while I walked around and visited the other booths at the WB Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Roman has been my "assistant" since he retired last year. He assists me when I do family sessions and weddings. He's the talker in our family and you'll always get a "dad" joke or story out of him.
