What is a Micro-Wedding?
A Micro-wedding is a small intimate wedding. It might have a limited number of guests and sometimes is held outside, in a backyard or small venue. This might or might not be as formal as the bigger weddings. There are really no rules to follow. It involves the bride and groom and their favorite people. It is usually a little more economical. The size of the wedding doesn't really matter. Neither does how much you spend. You are marrying your best friend. That is the most important thing to keep in mind.
Why hire a professional photographer for your Outdoor Wedding or Micro-Wedding?
Wedding photographers are booked up to a year in advance of the wedding date. Your outdoor wedding or micro-wedding photography is sometimes a big expense. Think of what you'll have left after the wedding. Pretty much everything is gone. The cake is gone, the favors are gone, the decorations are gone. Your photographs will still be there to look back on. That's a good reason to hire a professional photographer for your Micro-Wedding.
Just think of that 16x20 or larger framed matted image on your wall! Or a beautiful album full of your favorite images sitting on your coffee table or on your bookshelf. Or a Folio Box full of matted wedding images that you can frame instantly. These products are so convenient to pull out and look through. And it brings back all those memories and feelings from your wedding day! This is something you will pass on to your children and grandchildren. It is worth the cost of a professional wedding photographer!
What to Expect From Your Wedding Photographer at your Micro-Wedding
Expect 4-8 hours of photography coverage. Posed and unposed. Family groups that you choose to have included. Maybe two photographers. With two photogarphers you don't miss any of those behind the scenes images. Shots of all your guests individually can be part of the photography. The first dances and the cake cutting. Throwing the bouquet and garter. These are just some of the shots you can expect.
I have a wedding guide that I send to all my new wedding clients with all the details about how I work. I like to send a questionnaire, as well. That way, I can get an idea of the names of all in the wedding party. This helps me get to know the direction your wedding timeline will take. I can help you with some suggestions. I can give you my opinion on the best time of day for the best photography. Don't hesitate to ask any questions, and if I don't know the answers, I can try to find them for you.
