I met Kimberly and Alexander back in May 2021. After booking their Oscoda Michigan wedding, we met in Northern Michigan for their engagement pictures. They wanted their session to take place at Iargo Springs and Old Orchard Park Campground. Old Orchard Park Campground is a special location for Kimberly. She has camped there with her family every year of her entire life!
The area that the Tannahill Wedding in Oscoda Michigan Took Place
Alex calls Iargo Springs Isiago Springs, a location that has been the bride's favorite from a young age. Most of their engagement pictures were taken at Iargo Springs.
About Alex and Kimberly
Alexander is a fun loving guy who loves beer and whiskey. I asked him to describe the two of them in one word, he said "Silly". I've found that to be true. They both enjoy doing silly things, like putting their Dairy Queen spoons on their noses. He wears shorts in any weather. Alex works at Ford designing cars. He also enjoys Robotics.
Kimberly grew up in Michigan and became obsessed with weather, watching the affects of Hurricane Katrina on TV. She hopes to become a weather forecaster and continue to take camping trips to the wedding site each year.
One unique detail took place during the the couple's ceremony. Alex and Kimberly had a Wine Box Ceremony. I had never heard of a wine box ceremony. It is like a time capsule. Their guests write a note and leave it in the box to open on their 5th anniversary. Notes written with well-wishes or thoughts on what their life will be like in 5 years.

Oscoda Michigan Wedding Vendors
Kimberly and Alexander did some DIY favors themselves, their announcements and invitations, as well their bouquets. Walmart created the wedding cake, and it turned out beautiful with colors to match the wedding! Salon121 in Oscoda, Michigan did their hair and makeup. Kimberly got her dress at @AllureSalon, the tux came from Men's Wearhouse and Kimberly's ring is from Greis Jewelers. Alex's ring is from Carbon Fiber Gear. Staples printed up a program that was very informative and told about how they met, their family members and wedding party. The boutonnieres were made by ClearViewGlass on Etsy.
They had a dear friend Nicole Pinnage apply for a license to be their officiant. Nicole did a great job and got them hitched in a timely fashion!
Last Stop for the Tannahill Wedding
After formal pictures, cake cutting, beach pictures and signing the marriage license, we took a drive down to the local Dairy Queen and they shared a blizzard and waved at the traffic. Many cars drove by and noticed and honked and waved as they noticed them on the street in their wedding attire.
Kimberly & Alexander, wishing you both a long happy life together!
