What is a Personal Branding Session, and Do I Need One?

A personal branding session is intended for small business owners. budding professionals, and entrepreneurs. Those who want to raise their business strategy. Think about some of your favorite stores — even large ones like Nike, Apple, or Pottery Barn. Each of these businesses has a very distinct feeling, right?  So the goal of a personal branding photography session is to concentrate on your current or optimum esthetic. Then market it to the world through images that are used for your website, social media accounts, newsletters, and more.

Your Intention

These images help you come across as put together and self-assured. Potential clients will feel like they know and understand you much more. We all know that when a potential customer feels more familiar to you. Then they’ll be more inclined to work with you!

We’ll work closely with you. We want to ensure that your personal branding session goes smoothly. Also, that your images clearly display who you are. That said, here are three things to consider as you prepare for your own personal branding session:

Bring Props That Represent Your Business

We won’t use a prop for every photograph, but if your business involves certain tools or products then it’s a good idea to include them in some images. For example, if you’re a doctor, you'll want to wear your stethoscope or white lab coat, if you’re a jewelry designer then wear some of your favorite pieces, if you’re a winemaker bring a few bottles and a nice glass.

Where to Have Your Personal Branding Session That Will Fit Your Business and Personality

Most likely we’ll want to get a mix of locations and then a space that represents your business. If you’re a restaurateur, images at your restaurant would be perfect. We’ll want to shoot at your studio, if you are an artist. If your career is less defined, then neutral locations will be great.

Think About Your Personal Style

For personal branding images, we really want to zero in on your personal style. If you’re a brew master or a woodworker, you’ll probably want to opt for a slightly casual or informal look. If you’re the founder of a high-tech company, then maybe a pressed shirt and bow tie or a well-tailored dress is better. We can work with you to help figure out the perfect outfit.
