Obviously, you want to look your best on your high school senior session day. After all, all these photos will be seen by your friends, family and peers for years and years. So let's talk about beauty and fashion!
Here Are a Few Tips and Tricks Where Beauty and Fashion Are Concerned
Keep crazy accessories to a minimum. For example, if you want to wear those funky cat eye sunglasses, go for it, but don’t let them compete with a super splashy print, giant earrings and a headscarf. A wise person once said: “Always take off the last thing you put on.”
Here is an article on the fashion trends for 2023. You may not want to use all of them. Some are a little bazaar!
Makeup reads differently on camera than it does in real life. If you book a makeup artist for your big day, you’ll be in the hands of someone who knows just what to do.
Details Matter
Think about all the details: nails, hair, teeth, skin. Use a whitening toothpaste in the weeks leading up to your session, really look after your skin and don’t pick (we do offer free blemish touch up, though), and paint your nails the day of. Chipped nail polish is the worst! If you’re wearing open toes, paint those toenails too!
Practice your hairstyle in advance and take a few selfies to see how it photographs. Don’t wear a hairstyle that’s “not you.” For example, if you wear bangs regularly, don’t pin them up on your photo shoot. If you always wear your hair down, keep it down on your session day. Of course, we can change it up, if you want to start with it down and then pin it up in a ponytail. That gives some variety to your images.
Don’t make any major changes in the weeks leading up to your session. No fake tans that have the potential to turn you orange, don’t go from black to bleach blonde, no major haircuts that you might not be happy with, etc. This way you have your beauty and fashion all set for your big day!
